Who Should Apply?

Leadership Lodi applicants should be seeking to enhance their leadership potential, increase their knowledge of the community, and be willing to commit their individual talents for future years for the betterment of the community of Lodi.  Graduates of the program include individuals from a wide cross-section of the Lodi community, including representatives from both large and small businesses.

Commitment

To graduate, participants must:

  • attend eight full-day class sessions held on the second Tuesday of each month, plus a wrap-up session (February - November)

  • attend a mandatory two-day retreat held on March 18/19, 2017

  • participate in the class project selected at the retreat

  • attend three community meetings or volunteer at six events

In order to graduate from the program, no more than two class days may be missed and “made up”.  Partial day attendance counts as an absence.

Tuition

Leadership Lodi is an educational program sponsored by the Lodi District Chamber of Commerce, a nonprofit organization.  Tuition for Leadership Lodi is $900 per student – a $100 down-payment which must accompany the application, and $800 which is due on the first day of class.  The fees may be paid by the participant, by the employer, or through a sponsor and is due upon acceptance.

The Lodi Chamber of Commerce accepts payment via check, Visa, and MasterCard.  Down-payments of individuals who are not selected will be refunded.  Fees are a tax-deductible education expense.

Selection of Participants

The Leadership Lodi Steering Committee is charged with selecting a diverse group for each yearly class. Membership or past involvement with the Lodi District Chamber of Commerce does not ensure acceptance in the program.

Application Deadline

The application deadline for the upcoming year is the last Friday of November.

Appointments for personal interviews will be made throughout December, with class selection made at the end of the year.  For further information, please contact Leslie Dietz at the Lodi District Chamber of Commerce, at (209) 367-7840 ext 102.
